- Register with Nutheorie.
- Authorize us through mijnCBR – this is a mandatory step for everyone who wants to take a theory exam. But don't worry, after registering, we will send you clear instructions on how to quickly and easily arrange this.
- Leave the rest to us. Once a theory exam is reserved, we will contact you.
How long does it take for a theory exam to be reserved for me?
The reservation of an exam date depends on several factors, such as the CBR's schedule, your preferred location, time periods, and days. We continuously monitor the CBR reservation system to ensure that we can quickly make a suitable reservation for you. In many cases, this can be done immediately, but sometimes we have to wait until new theory exams become available. We do everything we can to give you clarity as soon as possible. The only thing we can guarantee is that there is no faster way to reserve an exam. So, let us handle it and we will ensure that coveted spot for you.
What if I have already reserved a CBR theory exam myself?
We have accounted for this scenario as well. In this case, the process is slightly different. You don't need to authorize us, and you won't have to pay any exam fees:
- Register with Nutheorie and select the option that you have already reserved an exam.
- We will then ask you for a confirmation of your theory exam with the CBR.
- Finally, we will link your exam with the online theory course, with the package that best aligns with your reserved theory exam.
What is included in the day course?
- The theory course itself.
- The reservation of your theory exam on the same day of the course.
- On the day itself: drinks, snacks, and if needed we arrange transport to the course location.
- An extensive E-book with the complete theory, containing clear images, animations and gifs.
- Practice questions based on previous exam questions, sorted by exam section, including explanations for correct and incorrect answers.
- Several practice exams that are similar to the real exam.
What is included in the online theory course?
- A video course enriched with engaging animations and other interactive elements.
- We still reserve the exam for you, with flexible time slots available throughout the day, meaning you may sometimes be able to take the exam faster than with the day course.
- The ability to watch the course as many times as you like and pause it at your convenience.
- Access to the same online environment as the day course with an E-book, practice questions, and practice exams.
- Depending on the chosen package: additional practice exams. The more comprehensive the package, the more practice exams are included. You also have the option to purchase extra practice exams afterward.
- Please note: You will need to go to the CBR by yourself to take your exam.
Preparing for your theory exam is essential and largely determines whether you pass in one go or not. Nutheorie offers you two effective methods:
The Day Course: This theory course takes place in person at one of the course locations in the Netherlands. In just one day, we will cover all the material you need to pass your theory exam. The major advantage is the direct interaction with the instructor and the possibility to take the exam at the CBR immediately after your course.
Online Theory Course: This flexible option allows you to prepare at your own pace. You have the freedom to repeat sections, watch videos multiple times, and practice thoroughly until you're confident you're ready for the theory exam. Moreover, we ensure that your exam aligns seamlessly with your preparation by tailoring your package accordingly.
Regardless of the method you choose, both courses guarantee thorough preparation for your theory exam. It’s important to consider which method best suits your personal learning style, preferences, and availability.
Is it necessary to study in advance for the day course or online theory course?
Both our day course and online theory course are designed to fully prepare you for the CBR theory exam. They cover all the topics included in the theory test. So even if you have no prior knowledge, our lessons are sufficient to get you ready for the exam.
With the online theory course, you can follow the lessons at your own pace. You can pause, repeat, and continue whenever you like, making it an ideal option for self-study. With the additional online material such as the e-book, you can dive even deeper into certain topics if needed. The day course offers a complete overview of the theory in just one day. Although prior studying is not mandatory, having some basic knowledge may help you absorb the information more effectively.
While our courses are designed for all learning styles, some people benefit from preparing in advance using the online materials. If you're someone who feels more comfortable with some preparation, it may be helpful to acquire a bit of basic knowledge beforehand. The courses are very suitable for students with dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, and performance anxiety. We also offer support for those with language difficulties; however, some knowledge of the Dutch language is required.
In summary, it is not strictly necessary to prepare in advance for our day course or online theory course. However, depending on your personal learning style and comfort level, you may choose to do some preparatory work. Our main goal is to ensure that you go into the CBR theory exam fully prepared and confident.
The one-day course is your ideal way to success for your theory exam. Here's an overview of what you can expect:
Before the start of the course: Preparation and arrival
- Start in the morning: The day starts early (usually around 7:00 AM), so you can take the exam the same day after the course. You'll meet at the course location, which is often close to a CBR exam center.
- Preparation: While pre-study isn't required, you can choose to prepare with the online course materials, such as the e-book, video summaries, and practice questions. This makes the course itself easier to follow and increases your chances of passing the exam on the first try.
During the theory course: Intensive, interactive and effective lesson day
- Course content: The theory is explained in a fun, clear and understandable way by experienced course instructors, with room for questions and repetition to allow everything to sink in and be remembered.
- Lots of short breaks: There are four eight-minute breaks throughout the day. During these breaks, you can grab a snack or a drink, use the restroom, or get some fresh air. These short breaks help you stay refreshed and process the information better.
After the course: 🚌 Travel to the CBR and take the exam
- Around 1:30 pm: You'll finish the theory course around 1:30 PM. You can then go to the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) yourself, which is usually within walking distance of the course location. If it's a bit further away, a taxi will be arranged to get you there on time.
- Exam preparation: It's helpful to take practice exams before your exam so you can see how you're doing. This will help you catch any mistakes and ensure you don't make them again. This will give you more confidence going into the exam.
- Exam location and preparation: When you arrive at the CBR, you can register for the exam an hour beforehand. Once you've registered, you'll see on the screen what you need to do next. You'll receive instructions on how to put your belongings in a locker. Lockers are available, so you don't have to worry. Once you've put everything away, go to the waiting room and wait to be called for your exam.
After the exam
- Result: Na het examen krijg je direct je resultaat. Als je geslaagd bent, kun je jouw praktijkexamen gaan inplannen met jouw rijinstructeur en binnenkort afrijden!
Collect items and discuss results: When you're finished, you can retrieve your belongings from the locker. Then, go to the course instructor to discuss your results. This is an opportunity to review how you did and get any tips or advice for next time.
