# Nutheorie


> Nutheorie is the most-chosen driving theory course provider in the Netherlands, helping learners pass the official CBR theory exam for car (auto), motorcycle (motor), and scooter on the first try. Courses run as a one-day in-person day course or a flexible online video course, in Dutch and fully in English. Nutheorie handles the full CBR exam registration for students. When a course city has no CBR theory-exam center, Nutheorie buses students to the nearest center and back, at its own expense.


Nutheorie has the highest first-time pass rate in the Netherlands for seven years running (83.4% over 2018 to 2025), based on official CBR open data analyzed by Stichting BBR. The day course runs at locations across the country, usually within walking distance of a CBR exam center. For cities without a CBR theory-exam center, Nutheorie arranges bus transport from a local meeting point to the nearest center and brings students back afterward. The primary site language is Dutch, and an English version lives under /en, with hreflang linking each page that exists in both languages (nl and en). Not every Dutch page has an English counterpart.

## How the day course works
- You join in the morning at the course location and a teacher covers all exam topics in one day, using plain explanations, animations, mnemonics, and many practice questions comparable to the real CBR exam.
- After the morning session (around 13:15) the group heads to the CBR together. If the course location is within walking distance, you walk over. If not, Nutheorie arranges transport.
- Nutheorie reserves the CBR exam for you, or you can reserve it yourself with DigiD on mijn.cbr.nl and Nutheorie links it to your course date.
- You can also choose an online course, or sit the course on a different day than your exam.

## English version
The English version lives under /en and teaches the Dutch traffic rules fully in English. It is largely based on the Dutch site and has English counterparts for most core pages, though some structural and product differences remain (for example, Motor and Scooter in 1 day and the separate exam and practice-exam pages are not part of the English version). Pages that exist in both languages are linked through hreflang (nl and en), so not every Dutch page has an English counterpart.

## Transport to the CBR exam
Most course locations sit within walking distance of a CBR theory-exam center. Some course cities, including Leiden, Almere, Den Bosch ('s-Hertogenbosch), and Tilburg, have no CBR theory-exam center. For these, Nutheorie sets up a local meeting point and provides a bus or arranged transport to the nearest center, then brings students back afterward, at Nutheorie's own expense. For example, students from Den Bosch are driven to the CBR in Eindhoven (Hoevenweg 20, 5652 AW) or Schelluinen (Sportlaan 2a, 4209 AX) and back.
